Fear of Flying? Read this Book! by E. Perekalski
you can’t help but laugh. she is so funny and witty, sarcasm runs through her veins. And everything is true!
The chapters are short, wich is good. You may learn things you didn’t know. Flight Attendants lingo and daily issues.
If you have fear of flying, read this book. It humanize the “glamorous” job of a flight attendant. And you’ll laugh for hours!
inspiring and so true by Sharon Mccune
We (there are four of us) are flight attendants and just finished reading this book. It is a hilarious story that, on every page, tells “our” story. We just loved it!!!
Funny, Insightful, A Great Travel Read by Voiceover Guy
Rene Foss is a funny and brilliant observer of the airline scene that is her workplace. Those reviewers who were disappointed that this book isn’t some kind of stereotypic frequent-flyer tipsheet to free upgrades missed both Ms Foss’ point, and probably missed her jokes. The book is funny and true, a great travel read, and being seen with it on your laptop probably IS good for a free drink when your flight attendant passes by. I hope Rene Foss writes again. I’d like to see sometime a clip of her show on Youtube.
Puts me in a Good Mood! by Richard Chen
Foss’s humorous writing style and ability to turn a dreadful situation such as a cramped gallery as her workspace into a book’s worth of laughter and amusing descriptions is wonderful and light-hearted to read. Frequent and infrequent flyers alike will recognize the sharp truth behind her hilarious observations which take the edge off the usual frustrations of flying. Knowing (the reality of commercial aviation) is believing. Foss’s honesty reminds us that reality is the best comedy. Twenty-somethings carving out a career and those in and around aviation will all find therapy in her writing out the truths they feel daily. The book reads quickly both because it is written in very natural tone and language as well as being a parade of simultaneously believable and unbelievable stories all at once. Seeing her staged production will be an extra treat to vote yes to her witty, wacky self having reached her dream of being a stage actress. You go girl! The only warning here is that the book is written more as jest even if kernels of truth belie her wonderful tales.
