First-Rate Illustrations and Step-by-Step Instructions by Richard Head
I found this book from ASA extremely helpful as I prepared for my PPC proficiency test in a Cessna 172.

Most flight maneuvers have double-to-quadruple fold-out pages so that you can really “see” what you need to do in order to execute all of the proficiency test maneuvers. Coupled with “Private Pilot Test Prep” (2007 version), also from ASA, the student pilot will be well prepared for both the written and flight proficiency exams.
